FACULTY OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING AND COMMODITY SCIENCE
The Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Commodity Science is one of the oldest faculties within University of Technology and Humanities in Radom. It was set up in 1952 and was strongly associated with the regional industry, especially connected to leather and footwear technology. Nowadays it is reoriented and it is keen on wide range of chemical technology and materials science.
The Faculty of Technology produces graduates in the fields of chemical technology, process engineering, food and cosmetics commodity science and also knowledge in the field of hazard identification in the work processes and metods of their elimination or reduction. The Faculty profile gives numerous career opportunities to its graduates in a wide range of fields and areas, ranging from technology to management or research activities. The Faculty offers the following courses and forms of education. as given by the Bologna Declaration (part-time and full-time studies), i.e.:
CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY (full-time studies and part-time studies, first and second cycle)
COMMODITY SCIENCE (full-time studies and part-time studies, first and second cycle)
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (full-time studies and part-time studies, first cycle)
Laboratories
The Faculty has well-equipped lecture rooms, physicochemical, organic, inorganic laboratories and research halls equipped with modern equipment and an organoleptic laboratory with research room and kitchen
Dormitories
Our university offers 1000 places in 5 dormitories. The buildings have two different levels of equipment standards adapted to student’s needs. The places are available both for students and non-students looking for accommodation.
We offer single and double rooms with bathrooms. Students can also benefit from study rooms as well as a wide range of amenities such as sauna, gym, snooker, ping-pong, Internet, club rooms and laundry rooms.
Library
Students can use one of the most modern, prize-winning academic libraries in Poland. There are over 250 seats in the reading rooms, over 170 thousand volumes, 500 kinds of magazines and newspapers and 150 thousand special collections.

Strategic goal
The Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Commodity Sciene is strongly interested in the development and enhancement of studying programmes according to students, Polish and European industry requirements as well as internationalization of education.
Moreover, further strengthening existed foreign cooperation in the field of scientific research programmes for the development of The University and Faculty as well as searching for new partners for scientific cooperation within the framework of the programme ERASMUS Plus.
Operational goals
- Broadening student and academic staff exchange
- Constant development of academic staff
- Enlarging didactic offer for foreign students
- Achievement of high-quality teaching process including high standards of classes and lectures offered in the English language
- Improve standards of scientific research
- Broadening scientific cooperation with universities from EU
To achieve them the Faculty has to:
- promote activities aiming at “internationalization” of the University among academic staff
- expand the foreign language education in order to improve mobility of students and academic staff
- apply for organization of Intensive Programme (IP) courses at the Faculty
- update teaching programmes and extending learning opportunities to fulfill requirements of labour market.
- participate in international research and educational projects financed from the European Union funds
- assisting foreign students in finding accommodation and integrating with local academic community, e.g. by appointing a career for each student-visitor
- propagate advantages of the ERASMUS plus programme especially opportunities of students exchange
- conclude bilateral agreements with foreign universities of a similar profile which become the basis for the student and academic staff exchange schemes, participation in scientific conferences and seminars, conducting scientific investigations in collaboration, joint publication of scientific papers, etc.
- intensify cooperation between the Faculty and foreign universities for broadening the network of partner universities.
